Despite a continually shrinking player base and almost zero forum participation, SMR won the
MPOGD's Game Of The Month September 2013.
How did the thoroughly wretched game accomplish this feat? It is widely believed among former players that corruption involving hacks and automated voting was involved. MPOGD nowadays is so lame that it is quite conceivable that such chicanery could happen without its ownership either knowing or caring about it.
It was always outrageous that such great games such as Quest for Yap, the original Space Merchant & TEQ were never able to win this award even so much as once. But what does MPOGD care about quality? Just look at its directory and see all of the dead games that are listed there.
